Fluke Open vs. Closed Jaw Current Clamps

The one I bought is from Amazon and does not have a calibration certificate, hence, it might do better if I calibrated it. However, I expected it to perform a bit better when new. The current measurement in AC amps was around 24.6% more than what I measured in with the current clamp. The T6-1000 does measure voltage without metal contacts other than just the ground clamp. It can measure current and voltage at the same time with the open jaw design. The T6-1000 also does not measure DC current, so if are in need of that feature, look elsewhere. This T6-1000 is best for those that really want to avoid clamping and needs a near contactless way to measure voltage. The open jaw makes for the ability to measure current in tight spaces.
