A fun day on SOLOMONS ISLAND, Maryland! We tried the FAMOUS Smith Island cake!

We’re headed to another island today, Solomons Island that is! Although it is more of a peninsula so we’re not sure where the whole island name came from? 🏝️  Our first stop of the day is at Calvert Marine Museum. This museum was one of our favorite stops in Maryland because it was HUGE! It’s basically part aquarium and part museum, we even got to pet stingrays and see Drum Point Lighthouse. 🐟  Next, we really wanted to try a famous Maryland dessert! Smith Island cake is made on you guessed it Smith Island and is a 8+ layer cake where each layer is baked individually. We thought you actually had to take a ferry to this island to try it but we found some on Solomons Island. Unfortunately it wasn’t the original chocolate version but still yummy! 🍰  We were feeling sleepy from all the sugar, so we headed to grab some coffees and went back to show off our adorable tiny home on St. Mary’s River that we’ve been staying in! 🏠  We hope you enjoy this weeks video and as always please remember to like, comment, and subscribe.
