Starting the Young Horse: Day 5 Training with a 2-year old TB Filly

She is in a 20-day training program and this is her fifth day of training. In addition to her learning new things I am also working with a few unwanted, learned behaviors that have left her anxious, unsure and reactive. You get to see how I handle her fears and help her become more trusting and confident while developing a strong bond and relationship. Everything I do on the ground with her is to develop her into a safe, trusting and confident riding horse. Like most of my training, one exercise provides a litany of knowledge, technique, education and answers to so many of the common challenges we often face when training our young horses. Especially the areas of reading horse behavior and understanding nature while developing the skills to help our young horse learn well and with confidence.
