Lukhmaat – sweet, soft traditional bites for dessert lovers. A great mix of street food, refreshing drink, and sweet treat for the whole family. SHOW DETAILS Show: Masala Mornings Host: Shireen Anwar Date: 10 April 2026 Channel: Masala TV RECIPES FEATURED KALEJI BUN KABAB Ingredients Mutton liver ½ kg Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp Lemon juice 2 tbsp Tikka masala 1 tbsp Yogurt 1 tbsp Oil 1 tbsp Chat masala ½ tsp Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp Crushed red pepper 1 tsp Chili powder ½ tsp Salt 1 tsp Ingredients for Assembling Buns 6 Onion 1 cut into thin rings Imli chutney METHOD Take a pan, add liver with all the seasonings, cook well till done. Take buns, spread with imli chatni evenly, put kaleji mixture filling, sprinkle onions, cover wit with the other bun, cover it with the other buns, close the buns, give dum of coal. Ingredients for chutney : Dates 10 Tamarind pulp 1 cup Gurr 3 tbsp Cumin roasted 1 tsp Ginger 1 inch piece Garlic chopped 1 tsp Salt ½ tsp METHOD Blend all together, cook till shiny. LUQAIMAAT Ingredients Flour 1 cup Corn flour 1 tbsp Instant yeast 1 tsp Pinch of salt Milk powder 1 tbsp Sugar 1 tsp Vanilla essence ½ tsp Saffron pinch Lukewarm water as required Oil 1 tbsp Oil for deep frying Ingredients for Topping Icing sugar 1 cup Lemon juice 1 tbsp Sesame seeds 2 tbsp Elaichi powder or vanilla essence ½ tsp METHOD Add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well, gently add warm water and make into a soft dough, cover the dough with cloth, leave it to rest for 3 hours in a warm place till it double the size. Heat oil, drop the batter by spoonful, fry till they are dark golden brown in color, place them in serving bowl, drizzle with topping, you can also serve this with maple syrup or honey. LIMCA SODA Ingredients Masala Mix: Black pepper 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Ginger powder 1 tsp Cumin powder 1 tsp Caster sugar 4 tbsp Cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp Citric acid 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp For Drink: Soda water 300 ml Fresh lemon juice 4 tbsp Ice 1 cup Fresh mint (finely chopped) 2 tbsp Method Mix all the masala ingredients well and store in an airtight container. To prepare the drink, take soda water in a glass and add fresh lemon juice. Add ice and chopped mint. Then add 1 tsp of the prepared masala mix and stir or blend well.
