Tagliacozzo

Small town in the Abruzzo region, about 90 kilometres from Rome. A quiet place, pleasant in summer and with snow in winter. There are several important churches to visit, among them the church of St. Francis, where the biographer of St. Francis, Thomas of Celano, is buried. Very particular are the typical little roads and the characteristic square, with a 13th century fountain.
