Roma - Roseto comunale

The Municipal Rose Garden of Rome, unique in the world for its spectacular location, lies on the slopes of the Aventine Hill, opposite the remains of the Palatine Hill, just above the Circus Maximus. You'll find it open during the months of May and June, when the approximately 1,100 species of roses from around the world bloom. In the larger area is the collection of botanical roses, both ancient and modern. In the lower, smaller part, there are the sectors where the roses participating in the "Premio Roma" are kept and the collection of the roses that, since 1933 - year of the first edition held in Colle Oppio - have won this prestigious event.
