Electric field due to dipole on the equator | Electric charges & fields | Physics | Khan Academy
Two equal and opposite charges seperated by some distance constitute a dipole. The electric field strength due to a dipole, far away, is always proportional to the dipole moment and inversely proportional to the cube of the distance. Dipole moment is the product of the charge and distance between the two charges. Let's derive the expression for this field on the equator of the dipole.
