But when I got to the mechanic, things started to get more complicated than I imagined. First they talked about messing with the piston ring… then came the news that nobody wants to hear on a trip: the engine would have to be opened. What was supposed to be a quick stop ended up turning into several days living at the mechanic's, waiting for parts, watching the work and trying to stay calm in the middle of the trip.
