For 22 years, three MiniDV cassettes remained stored in a box. They were recorded by a university professor during the "University Initiatives for Peace" forum, held between November 26 and 28, 2004, in Santa Fe de Ralito, Córdoba, during the height of negotiations between the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC) and the government of Álvaro Uribe. The footage, reviewed for the first time more than two decades later, shows the main AUC commanders—including Salvatore Mancuso, Ernesto Báez, Cuco Vanoy, and Commander Águila—sharing the stage with students, professors, and guests. Among those present, a 26-year-old lawyer, Abelardo de la Espriella, appears repeatedly. The camera records him sitting at the head table, conversing with the commanders, signing documents, and moderating the discussions. This report presents, for the first time, this previously unseen footage, contextualizes the historical moment, and reconstructs what happened during those three days using the original images.
