GETTING CLOSER TO THE CAPE, visiting Musgrave Station, the PDR, Coen & Bramwell Tourist Park.

After leaving Battle Camp Road, we hit the Peninsula Development Road after spending the night at Musgrave Station. The PDR was a mixed bag of dust, gravel, corrugations and tar. We went through rain, sun and everything in between. The stay at Coen River Bend was a free camp and a delightful break and the dinner at the (S)Exchange Pub was an easy option. Branwell Tourist Park was our next stop and here you can choose to have a meal and live entertainment. It's a great place to break up the trip before continuing on to the tip of Cape York. After leaving Bramwell Tourist Park we hit more corrugations and finally made it to a campsite on the turn off to Eliot Falls.
