Welcome to the final episode of our Kolkata–Chatakpur–Darjeeling family travel series! In this vlog we spend our last day exploring the beautiful hill town of Darjeeling. We take relaxing walks around Darjeeling Mall, enjoy the lively atmosphere of the town, do some local shopping and taste more delicious food before concluding our memorable trip. We also visit the peaceful Himalayan town of Mungpoo, famous for being the place where Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore stayed for several years. The house where he lived is now preserved as a museum and is an important cultural landmark in the Darjeeling hills. After enjoying the scenic drive through the hills, we head towards New Jalpaiguri (NJP) to board the famous Darjeeling Mail train for our overnight journey back to Kolkata’s Sealdah station. This episode marks the end of our wonderful family holiday to Chatakpur and Darjeeling filled with beautiful mountain views, peaceful forest roads, local markets, good food and memorable moments together.
