Budget Friendly Hamburger Potato Casserole

Hamburger Potato Casserole 1 pound ground beef 1 medium onion dices 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 cup sour cream ½ cup milk 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder 2 cloves minced garlic – optional S & P 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese You can also add frozen vegetables or bacon bits to this dish – optional Prehear oven to 375 degrees. Spray at 9 X 13 inch casserole dish. Brown the hamburger together with the onions and garlic, drain if its greasy and set aside. Mix together the soup, milk and sour cream and add the onion and garlic powder to the mix and mix well. Start to assemble with a layer of potatoes on the bottom, the meat mixture next and then one cup of cheddar. Add the soup mixture and finally the last layer of potatoes. Finish with the remaining cup of cheddar cheese. Place into the over and set a timer for 40 minutes. At the 40 minute mark add a piece of aluminum foil loosely to over the dish and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender.
