JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - The actions of an online motorcycle taxi driver who tried to hold on to his motorcycle while being towed by Transportation Agency officers in the Jatinegara area, East Jakarta, have gone viral on social media. The motorcycle was towed while he was picking up an order at a restaurant in the area. While carrying the order, the driver pleaded with the Transportation Agency officers to return his towed motorcycle. The driver also attempted to climb onto a tow truck. However, this attempt was unsuccessful. The motorcycle was still taken away by officers using the tow truck. The motorcycle was reportedly towed because it was parked inappropriately while the driver was picking up an order at a restaurant on Jalan Jatinegara Timur. Several officials from the East Jakarta Transportation Agency, including the Head of the East Jakarta Transportation Agency, Harlem Simanjuntak, then visited the residence of the online motorcycle taxi driver whose motorcycle had been towed by officers. They came to socialize and return the motorcycle of an online motorcycle taxi driver that had been towed for illegal parking. Sulis Agung Wibowo explained that he was picking up an order at a restaurant in East Jatinegara. However, his motorcycle was towed shortly after.
