Uma CASA DE PRAIA rústica, integrada e FEITA para RECEBER

On this tour, I open the doors to a beach house that has been part of the owner's history for 17 years and underwent a major renovation to become exactly what she wanted: a rustic, integrated, cozy retreat made for entertaining. The structure was already great, with five suites, connected social areas, and plenty of outdoor space, but she transformed everything. She changed the finishes, revamped the paint with a very special whitewashed effect, redid the garden, created a spa with a pergola, updated the lighting, and redesigned the decor to give the house a "lived-in" feel, using natural materials and lots of personality. Throughout the tour, we explore choices that make a difference in the daily life of a beach house. Natural wood and why it requires maintenance but is worth every effort, practical solutions for welcoming wet guests without worry, floor layouts, the use of brick to bring warmth, and ideas for outdoor areas such as a fire pit, natural benches, and a pool with a heat exchanger to use the house even in winter. The decor is a mix of pieces with memories, furniture that has been with the resident for decades, finds, restored items, and objects that gain new meaning over time. This project was conceived and executed by the In House Arquitetura e Design office, owned by partners Andrea and Betina, balancing rusticity, functionality, and that welcoming home charm. Come with me to explore each corner and tell me in the comments which detail you would take to your home. The project started as a blog in 2008, born from my passion for decorating spaces, when I was setting up my first home. With time and a lot of dedication, Casa de Valentina grew, took shape, and matured. I received invitations to write articles for leading magazines in the field, I was featured on a magazine cover, and we earned the title of the most influential design and décor blog in Latin America. Here on YouTube, you'll find a curated selection of architectural projects, with great interior design solutions. A space for us to share inspiration and good taste!
