GTM Rossa Mk2 - MG Metro powered kit car
Here is my GTM Rossa Mk2, fibreglass monocoque, kit car which was built in 1997. This was the last GTM model which used the BMC/BL/Rover Mini subframes and running gear. The GTM has a 1380cc MG Metro engine and gearbox fitted. As usual with (most) kit cars, there are a few rattles from the bodywork - I'm sure a few additional rubber buffers on the front & rear clamshells would help. I acquired this Rossa in January but due to the very bad weather, I have only been out in the car twice. This was my second run out (to go and fill up with some fresh petrol). The car drives quite well but as with most A-series powered, mid-engined, GTMs, the gearchange leaves a lot to be desired. Finding 3rd gear is a bit "hit and miss" (mostly miss).
