Kyodo-no-Mori Hydrangea Festival

Although rainy season in Japan is generally fairly dull and miserable it does at least bring out the hydrangeas for a brief burst of wonderful colour. Kyodo-no-Mori near Fuchu Station has a folklore museum, a collection of old townhouses as well as traditional farm and historical buildings which are set amongst a large nature reserve containing over 10,000 hydrangeas in 30 varieties.
