The Panzanella comes from Tuscany. A simple and typically summer recipe to prepare at home ♥ This is an old and rustic dish. This salad is addicting! A salad of stale bread with fresh vegetables. No need to cook, it's perfect when temperatures rise. It is a poor dish that was used by peasant families to eat leftover bread. There is also a legend that says that the panzanella was invented by fishermen, who on board the boats needed to prepare a simple and quick dish, by wetting the hard bread with sea water and then adding vegetables . Here we have a salad without salad! The bread replaces the salad but my dad liked to add arugula. Good tasting !
