We started off our Nepal food tour tasting some local bara, or wo. This coupled with sapu mhicha and aila was the perfect breakfast. Next up we tried a sweet lakhamari and juju dhau right in Patan Durbar Square. We continued on our Newari food tour tasting yomari with a side of tongba and raksi. Not the most classic combo, but a delicious one at that! Newari food is very unique, so our next stop was to a local Khaja Ghar for some of the best Nepali street food in Patan, chatamari, sukuti sadheko and chhyang. We stopped at a little spot for fokso fry, a very different Newari street food that we couldn’t miss! We ended our Newari food tour at the best Khaja Ghar in Lalitpur, for sukuti, anda chiura and chhyang. This spot serves up some of the most popular Nepali foods, and honestly some of the best food in Patan, it was the perfect spot to end our ultimate Newari food tour in Patan, Nepal.
