Our Magical Experience Living 2 Months in Nepal

This is our magical experience living 2 months in Nepal. From our time living and exploring across the Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara, all in one place. We woke up on Buddha's birthday to drums and chanting outside our window in Kathmandu, stumbled into street parades, and ended up spinning prayer wheels at Boudhanath Stupa. In Pokhara, we hiked to a suspension bridge with no agenda, explored caves hiding an underground waterfall, and browsed markets. We splurged on a mountain villa above the clouds with an infinity pool hanging over the valley — we caught a glimpse of the Annapurna mountain range which was so majestic. In Lalitpur, we ate an absurdly cheap lunch, got completely shut out by a closed zoo, and then spent our evening swept up in a candlelit chariot festival we hadn't planned for. We climbed 365 ancient steps to the Monkey Temple while our son battled car sickness — only to discover Tibetan singing bowls that somehow made everything better. We walked into Pashupatinath Temple expecting a tourist site and came out genuinely changed, standing quietly at the riverside cremation ghats while our kids processed something real about life and death. NNepal surprised us every single day. We hope this brings some of that feeling to you too.
