How To Solo Over...8 Bar Blues in A (w/ Jazzed-up Changes). 🎸😰This is another traditional blues form that doesn't get talked about enough. It's similar to a 12 bar blues, but with some edits, we're down to 8. For this version, I'm stepping it up a bit, with some jazz-style chord changes, using a diminished passing chord and also a standard I vi ii V turnaround. As usual, I'll start simple with the home pentatonic and then I try to track each chord with it's own strategy, using either arpeggios, pentatonics and other devices to find the chord tones and surround them with colorful scale tones. Have fun! FYI, I'll be posting a complete strategy lesson for this video in the subscriber section on FB.
