How to Solo Over...Gary Moore Style Slow Blues in Am

How to Solo Over...Gary Moore Style Slow Blues in Am. #happybirthday to the real "Lord of the Strings".🎂🎸🧙‍♂️ Here's my typical improv approach for the "circle of fiths" type chord progression that Gary loved to use on tunes like "Parisienne Walkways" or "Still Got the Blues". This is just an 8 bar loop of the main progression of those tunes: Am Dm G C F Bm7b5 E7 Am The changes end up hitting all 7 chords in the key, so there are lots of places where you'll want to target chord tones, so it doesn't sound stale with just a single A minor pentatonic. It's also very slow, so you'll have time to establish each chord with it's own strategy. I'll take you through triads, 7ths, pentatonics, and modes, along with some special details about handling the V chord in a minor key with Harmonic Minor. Enjoy!
