LA TRISTE HISTORIA de una LEYENDA DEL CRIOLLISMO LUCHA REYES ♥ LA MORENA DE ORO DEL PERU ♥

She was born on July 19, 1936, in a humble home in Rimac. Her real name was Lucila Sarcines Reyes. Her father, Tobías Sarcines, died when Lucha was barely six months old. With the death of her father, financial hardship descended on the family of 16 children. She worked as a laundress, but the income wasn't enough to cover even basic needs, although she lived for several years in Callao, at the end of Marco Polo Street, near the Mar Brava. Her childhood was almost tragic, so much so that she even worked as a newsboy to survive. Little Lucha Reyes's family lived in a room in the alley at the end of Mercedarias Street, a famous gathering place for singers and guitarists from the Barrios Altos neighborhood. Parties were frequent and often ended in fights. Felipe Pinglo, "El Cholo" Nicolás, Pedro Espinel, "El Mono" Olivo, Reynaldo Adrianzén, Samuel Joya, the Zapata brothers, and others congregated there. In this mingling atmosphere, Lucha Reyes saturated his soul with the Creole melodies of yesteryear. Lucha Reyes's mother fell ill and had to stop washing clothes because she frequently suffered from fevers and muscle aches. This situation forced her to beg for a little food every day at a convent. #LUCHAREYES #CreoleMusic #LAMORENADEORO @EvaAyllonoficial
