With a length of 4,155 to 4,170 millimeters, a width of 1,800 millimeters, and a height of 1,505 millimeters, the Hyundai IONIQ 3 remains firmly in the compact segment. However, its wheelbase of 2,680 millimeters provides interior space more reminiscent of a larger vehicle class. Hyundai offers the IONIQ 3 with either a 42.2 kWh or 61 kWh battery. The smaller version achieves a WLTP range of approximately 344 kilometers, while the long-range version can reach up to 496 kilometers. Charging is possible at up to 119 kW DC, with a typical 10-to-80 percent charge taking about 29 minutes. AC charging is standard at 11 kW and optionally available at up to 22 kW. The IONIQ 3 features a classic front-wheel-drive system with either 135 or 147 hp. Maximum torque is 250 Newton meters. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 9.6 or 9.0 seconds, respectively. The top speed is up to 170 km/h. The new body shape combines compact car dimensions with aerodynamic lines, resulting in a drag coefficient of 0.263. The "Furnished Space" concept features a flat floor, flexible seating solutions, and materials that are more reminiscent of furniture design than traditional car interiors. A total of 441 liters of cargo space is available, including 119 liters in the so-called Megabox under the load floor. Hyundai is launching a new system, "Pleos Connect," based on Android Automotive OS. 12.9-inch or 14.6-inch displays control navigation, vehicle functions, and connectivity. The Hyundai IONIQ 3 was developed at the technical center in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and is produced at the İzmit plant.
