Ranking the ENTIRE R-Type Series! From Worst To Best! Shoot Em' Up Series Review. The R-Type series is one of the most famous old school shmup series around, along with games like Darius and Gradius. Up until this point, there has been a fair amount of discussion reviewing the games individually, but for the first time I would like to evaluate the series as a whole and see how the entries compare to one another and stack up, tier list or top ten style! Included are, R-Type 1, R-Type 2, R-Type 3, Super R-Type, R-Type Delta, R-Type Leo, R-Type Final, and R-Type Final 2. I also discuss how the series has more of a console style of design, as opposed to arcade and why its fan base are as vocal and devoted as they are to the series.
