The Hidden Gem of Bisley, ENGLAND: Autumn Walk in the COTSWOLDS

Bisley is a picturesque English village located in the Cotswolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England. Bisley is known for its charming stone cottages, traditional architecture, and its location in the scenic Cotswold Hills. The town is situated partly on the acclivity of a hill, and partly in the vale beneath it, which is watered by a small stream. The streets are irregularly formed, and contain houses dating back to the medieval period. The English village has always remained small. An attempt in the late 17th century to establish it as a market centre met with little success. The seven wells were given a new well-head with 7 spouts in 1863. There is a yearly ‘wells dressing ceremony where after a short service in the church, the vicar, a band and villagers proceed to the well where the well is blessed and decorated with flowers.
