VOR A approach and landing runway 21 Arrecife Lanzarote airport (ACE GCRR)

We performed a VOR non-precision approach towards runway 21. This is a runway and approach that is not often used! In sunny circumstances like we had today, it gives a beautiful view over the island! One thing that makes this approach special is the steep glidepath of 3.7 degrees! This is necessary because of the terrain. It's minima or decision altitude (DA) is high. We need to see the runway at an altitude of 2020ft! On a cloudy day this could be even more interesting. If the cloud base is lower Thant 2020ft you could make a circling approach from runway 03. Than the minimums are 1510ft. All in all a interesting approach. Just to give you an idea... normally ILS runway 03 is flown even with tailwinds up to and including 10kts! It's minima is 460ft.
