Falling into the Hand of the LORD | 2 Samuel 24:10-15 10 When David had counted the people, he was rebuked in his heart and said to the LORD, “I have committed a great sin by doing this. O LORD, I beseech you now, forgive the sin of your servant. I have acted very foolishly.” 11 When David rose in the morning, the word of the LORD came to Gad, the prophet who was David’s seer, saying: 12 “Go and tell David, ‘Thus says the LORD: I show you three things; choose one of them for yourself, and I will do it for you.’” 13 Gad came to David and said, “Will there be a famine in your land for seven years? Or will you be pursued by your enemies and flee before them for three months? Or will there be a plague in your land for three days?
