In the year of WOP's 25th anniversary, the award was made for oustanding services in the cause of music for peace - and dedicated by Charles Kaye in his warm words of acceptance to the memory of his co-Founders, Sir Georg and Lady Solti, with special thanks to conductor Valery Gergiev, UNESCO and the 650 players from over 125 orchestras in 70 countries who have given their services without fee for more than 30 concerts since 1995.
