From quiet days in Torbay to unexpected stress with the flat, here’s what we’ve been up to: A Quiet Weekend in Torbay | Weekend Vlog | Sat 8th & Sun 9th March (2025) A quiet weekend. Glenn works at Brixham Marina while I potter about, taking the bus into Brixham to meet him. A Trip to Torquay & Hoopers Café | Daily Vlog | Mon 10th March (2025) A trip into Torquay, a visit to Hoopers Café with its great views across the marina, and still no word from the land registry. Steam Trains, Charity Shops & a Mystery Email | Daily Vlog | Tues 11th March (2025) We get up close to a steam engine, walk along the South West Coast Path, browse a charity shop, and treat ourselves to coffee and cake. I find the most beautiful dress (which fits perfectly!), and Mr. Warner picks up a puzzle. Just as the day is winding down, we get an email—our solicitor has received some news about the flat, but no clue whether it’s good or bad. Book Shopping & Flat Stress | Daily Vlog | Wed 12th March (2025) Back to Torquay, where Glenn exchanges some trousers, I pick up a book for our granddaughter Evie’s birthday. The flat situation takes a stressful turn—we discover a clerical error at the land registry is causing the delay. There's uncertainty about whether we can move on Friday, and I can feel the stress building. Endless Phone Calls & More Delays | Daily Vlog | Thurs 13th March (2025) A rubbish day filled with endless phone calls between the estate agent and solicitor. We sign a new land registry form and send it off by special delivery. There’s a chance we could move on Wednesday, but for now, we extend our stay at the caravan until Monday and keep the storage unit for the foreseeable future. We also take a moment to remember Glenn’s mum, as today would have been her birthday. A Relaxing Day at Waterside | Daily Vlog | Fri 14th March (2025) A much-needed relaxing day at Waterside Holiday Park. We take a dip in the pool (which was lovely!), use the very high-tech laundrette, and while waiting for the washing, enjoy coffee in the bar and a game of Scrabble. Glenn wins by just six points!
