How to stain elastin fibers in tissue.
This video provides a direct comparison of two popular elastin staining techniques (Orcein stain and Verhoeff's Hx) when applied to sections of oesophagus. Each critical step is followed by the actual magnified views of tissue sections as seen down the microscope (microscope control). Both techniques produce great results but you will no doubt have a preference.
