We hike the Ruta del Cares in the Picos de Europa

EPIC!! This week we are heading off on a hike along the Rutas del Cares and we are absolutely blown away by it!! This route is situated in the Picos de Europa National Park in Northern Spain and we leave our campsite early and head to the little hamlet of Poncebos where we park Indie our Motorhome up in a lay-by (hoping she doesn’t get blocked in). We were heading to the village of Cain which we thought was about 10 km away and the signs said it would take about 3 hours to get there. It is quite uphill to start with and then levels out as you follow the river deep in the gorge, clinging to the side of the mountain walls as we went along. We met some fellow hikers form the UK, Tim and Linda who were the best company and kept us going to our turnaround point where we have a quick cold drink and then we head back again. Absolutely amazing hike, like nothing we have encountered before. You really have to see it to believe it so come along with us on this adventure! Thank you for watching and see you soon.
