In July 2026, I fulfilled a long-held dream: Together as a family, we set off for the Dolomites and hiked the Alta Via 1 for four days. It was an unforgettable time. Majestic mountains, vast plateaus, crystal-clear lakes, and the wildlife of the Alps made this landscape a true paradise. It felt as if God had poured extra love into this corner of the earth when creating the Dolomites. These mountains will therefore always hold a special place in our hearts. We camped in our tent, and for my wife and son, it was their first real multi-day hike. To my great joy, this hike also ignited a love of hiking in my wife.
