Fulltime Vanlife in Geelong - You Yangs MTB and Lara Baseball

The original plan was to have a quiet day, so I headed down from Melbourne to Geelong to set up base for the next few days. Dropped in to St Helen's Boat Ramp to empty my toilet and top up with water before doing some grocery shopping. A friend was looking for someone to join his baseball team, the Lara Wildcats, for a match after lunch, so I wandered down to Lara. The sun came out in the afternoon and it seemed like a good opportunity to climb to the top of Flinders Peak at the You Yang's to watch the sunset. An early morning down at Limeburner's Bay is always a favourite. Plenty of bird life and a very quiet spot. i then finally got a quiet day, spending the majority of the day sitting at a carpark in Geelong, Hearne Parade, that overlooks Eastern Beach. Next day was bike ride time again, but not until the weather warmed up a little. It was a foggy start, so after having a look at Montpellier Park in Highton and Newtown Lookout, I drove back to the You Yang's and once again climbed to the top of Flinder's Peak. Some beautiful views over the foggy lowlands. From there it was over to Drysdale Rd at the back of the You Yang's for a ride in Stockyards MTB Park. I spent the afternoon sessioning Cressy (Track13) to try and get back my confidence on the trail.
