In recent days, Bolueta has been affected by several traffic disruptions caused by protests from a small group of workers from the Bilbao City Council's Interior Cleaning Service. These disruptions have lasted for several hours, blocking access to the area and hindering the daily operations of shops, workshops, gas stations, and other businesses. During the interview, María explained that this situation has already occurred several times and that, in some cases, the disruptions have lasted four or five hours. She also pointed out that many sales are lost permanently when customers cannot access the store and choose to go to another establishment. María defended the right to protest, but reminded everyone that businesses also have the right to work, open their doors, and serve their customers as usual. Therefore, she called for an urgent solution and better coordination to prevent this situation from happening again. Because defending rights cannot mean shutting down an entire neighborhood for hours. Local businesses need to be able to work, serve customers, and continue bringing life to our streets.
