Adding a double nuc resource hive to my apiary - Beekeeping

Beekeeping - Finally adding a double nuc resource hive to my honey bee yard. I got this double nuc last year but it's just been sitting around. A couple of days ago I had to do a split on one of my Carniolan hives. Yep, queen cells. I also have a weak hive that is currently in a 10 frame that needed to be reduced down. So I thought this was the perfect time to add a resource hive to my apiary. Double nucs are great for overwintering nucs. Using them as a resource hive adds loads of value to your apiary. Now I have a place I can grab a couple frames of capped brood or maybe use them to draw out comb on a new foundation. I'm excited to finally add this double nuc resource hive to my bee yard and see all the ways I can use it during the year.
