He spent more than 40 days between the ICU and hospitalization, with a colostomy bag, chemotherapy started the day after discharge, and a body that weighed as little as 48 kilos. It is in the ICU bed, at the height of physical vulnerability, that Lucas describes the real turning point in his story: surrendering the control he had always tried to exert over his own life.
