[ HD ` read ] t/w Heavy blood/gore in some scenes, also revolving around children, watch at your own discretion! x - x - x - Here I am, saying I went super dead in my cp collection and two days later I'm uploading a 3 minute solo edit, WE LOVE ME APPARENTLY LYING TO MYSELF??? So I have a few events coming up, my brother's birthday, my mum's birthday, so I have some little cute projects planned for them but first, story time real quick. Cast your minds back to not the weekend just gone, the one before. I am glancing over at my mum checking the M&S website. A colourful header element reads: "Treat your dad to something nice this father's day." insert my mild gay panic here as I had totally forgotten father's day was a thing this year??? So I pinged up to my computer n' thought "FECK, WHAT CAN I DO??" with my family members at high risk of Covid due to their health issues, we are still shielding and not going out ANYWHERE so I couldn't go and buy a present, but I still wanted to do something. My father's interests always seem to fit cinema/cinematic aesthetics, mainly as he loves action movies, racing, cars and horror. The original IT was one of his favourite movies but broken pixels and meme-wise wouldn't really fit an edit, SO, I quickly scenelisted both IT movies in two days and began mapping out an edit to the epic cover of Toxic, but I just wasn't feeling it enough to put my full effort into it. Another panic as I rapidly shuffle through my i-tunes to find a song, then BAM IT HITS ME. THIS SONG, one I've been wanting to edit to for over two years?? It's instrumental, inherent glitching and vibes just fit the movie so well! I'm quite impressed I clapped out a 3 minute video in like 5 days?? IT TOOK A LOT OF WARPCHROMA, TWIX AND TWITCH, BUT THE VIBE I WANTED IS THERE. The song has such a continuous build up and I wanted to match my scenes to them, so it wasn't like scenes that weren't powerful enough, or scenes that were too powerful in a calmer section. I'm super happy with how it all turned out though! I hope ya'll enjoy!
