[ HD ` read ] Well hennies, I don't quite know how to explain how I've clapped out two 3 minute videos within two weeks, to say I'm shook??? would be an understatement. Usually I stare at a long blank timeline, whimper then close my vegas as I'm too anxious LMAO. So, another event???/dedication?? video! This time it is for my little brother! His birthday is coming up in about a week but with me having a few other event videos planned I wanted to work on this as soon as I could and I WAS planning on releasing it on his birthday but tbh I was SO EXCITED for this edit so I couldn't contain myself LMAO. I've always loved the titan's universe, and I had been waiting years for them to properly give them justice in movie form as they have done countless cringe movies of them but never anything that truly shows their immensity and power! I tricked my brother into thinking I was editing him goosebumps as he loves that also so his reaction to this video was so heart warming! He was really shocked and enjoyed watching it! (Godzilla and King Ghidorah are two of his favourite titans/kaiju!) It was super fun to work on this one despite my DISASTROUS rendering experience. Just for some giggles I'll let u kno. I initially planned for this to be a 60fps edit. I was SUPER SUPER EXCITED to begin rendering it. Edited it in 29fps and changed to 60fps to render (this will make sense later on). Four hours in, oh no! Vegas crashes at 87!!!!% I hurled abuse at my computer but in the good words of my spirit animal I said: "I'm gonna carry on Darren" and so I decided rendering in halves might help?? AND IT DID! I rendered the first half of this video (which took two hours and a half, JUST TO LET YA KNOW) and I previewed through, excited to see the 60fps crispness! To realise that all my effect keyframes were now an ABALUTE mess. Changing to 60fps must have adjusted the position of all the keyframes as my parent track keyframes were happening WAY too soon and my effect keyframes were happening sooner too which was major due to me doing twix hops/warp chroma for some beats SO I actually did have a breakdown and screamed at my computer for about 5 minutes. I then swapped back to 29fps as at that point 60fps was a dead word to me. Another hour and a half ensued of me fixing all my keyframes, positioning, making some tweaks that I missed first time round (gotta look at some kinda positive gjhfngdf) and then I came to render again (another two hours, GKJFDGNBFDJ) But this time everything was working well! Everything except my audio sound effects generating spikes and glitches n hops in them. SO, back into the .veg, rendered each layer out individually n slapped them in a NEW .veg with the finished video to render a final version (ANOTHER 45 MINUTES) So yes, this edit caused me extreme anxiety but I am quite happy with how it turned out LMAO. I hope ya'll enjoy! o/ Colouring is mine c: ______________________________________________ Would you like to learn a few of my cheeky tips and tricks on how I edit, along with some freebies?
