This video shows the final journey of an ERF EC12 and the emergency winder trailer that it pulled for the Mines Rescue service from it's natural environment of Thoresby Colliery to it's new home at the English National Mining Museum, Wakefield, South Yorkshire where it is now on permanent static display. One of nine special trailers built by the Markhams Company for the National Coal Board, each unit also had a generator trailer to accompany it for power. Every colliery had special anchorage pads constructed adjacent to the headstock's, in the case of an emergency the cable could then be ran over the headstock's and down the mine shaft. The in-cab shots are near the end of this video also a view of what's inside the trailer.
