Who was Nerastarel (supposed to be) in Oblivion? | Nerastarel's House Deep Dive and Theories

Drem Yol Lok, braan bovitaan. Today in my study in my villa Arborwatch in the serene city of Chorrol, we will turn our attention to Nerastarel and his house; most likely an example of cut content, but nonetheless intriguing. We are going to ponder on who Nerastarel was supposed to be, investigate his mansion and discuss four theories that can be derived from what we have at our disposal. Was Nerastarel simply a necromancer, who was killed by the undead he summoned? Was he arrested for murdering citizens of Skingrad to use for his projects and meet his end in the dungeons, or was he done in by the guards? Was Nerastarel replaced by the character of Celedaen – an Aldmeri necromancer, who aims to become immortal by achieving lichdom, and who is the first dead drop Dark Brotherhood contract we receive? Or was he meant to be a part of the Mage’s Guild and its questline? These are all questions we will offer possible answers to today.
