Proposed reforms of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal

The crisis in the Constitutional Tribunal is the first and one of the main elements of the rule of law crisis in Poland, ongoing since 2015. Since December 2023, Poland has had a new government that promised to restore the rule of law. It proposed a package of changes concerning the Constitutional Tribunal: a resolution of the Sejm, a law on the Constitutional Tribunal, a law on the provisions introducing it, as well as a law amending the constitution. These ideas are being evaluated by experts.
