A journey through the history of Yamaha sound generation technologies. In the Tyros series and the mid-range S and SX series keyboards, the Multi Pads function was expanded to allow playback of audio files. This feature can be used to great musical effect. Chord Cancel (cc) is technically a separate chord type – not a chord at all, comparable to the number zero in mathematics. This allows the accompaniment to be reduced to the drum tracks. Furthermore, Chord Cancel On Bass allows the accompaniment to be reduced to just the drums and bass, creating musically interesting effects.
