First you will need to remove your boat from the trailer so you may access the current roller or bow stop. Next you will need to remove the bow stop or roller. Install the boat latch in the mounting bracket the roller was in. Find the right angle or pitch to match the pitch of your boat. Tighten the bolt snug, roughly 20 - 24ft lbs so the latch can still pivot. Now pull the boat into the latch mechanism until you here the click. Once it has clicked into place you can install the handle. Make sure you place the handle in a low enough position so that it does not come into contact with the boat when you pull the lever.
