RESTAURATION DAUPHINE 1961 : On sort enfin le moteur ! (Ép. 8)

This is a major milestone in the Garage! Episode 8 marks a turning point: the Dauphine is shedding its last major components. We're stripping everything down to get a clearer view! On the agenda for this episode: Bodywork disassembly: I remove the four fenders, the rear hood, and the front trunk lid. It's impressive to see the car's structure laid bare like this. Engine removal: The moment of truth... I finally remove the powertrain by lifting the body. The plan for this engine: The good news is, it runs! So I'm not going to completely dismantle it. The idea is to take advantage of it being outside to give it a thorough cleaning and, above all, to proactively replace the infamous Celoron pinion, the classic weak point of these engines. It's very satisfying to see this engine block on the ground. It really helps to appreciate how far we've come since the beginning.
