How to urban sketch on collage - part 1

You might think that preparing and drying collage while you are out and about is too messy or long-winded, but it is simple to prepare multiple pages in advance and then to choose one which suits your subject at a later date. In this two part series, I will show you how to prepare the collage and then different ways on working on it. In part 1 I use a fineliner (MIcron) pen and watercolour and in part 2 I use a dip pen and walnut ink. The two images are from a visit to York, which is just teeming with beautiful buildings to draw.
