Take you to Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram in northeastern India — a place many people may not recognize, but once you arrive you might find yourself thinking, “This is India?” . We visited during the rainy season, so we didn’t get to explore much, but simply walking through the city was already enough. The mountain views, hillside houses, and the atmosphere both day and night were incredibly beautiful and charming. . What stood out most was how clean and quiet Aizawl is — no chaotic honking like the usual image of India. The people also look very similar to Southeast Asians, sometimes making it feel less like India and more like somewhere closer to home. . The food was another highlight: easy to enjoy, not overly spiced, and quite similar in taste to Thai food. .
