DIY JAPANESE KANZASHI RIBBON FLOWER HAIR CLIP CRAFT TUTORIAL | Episode 4 | Series KANZASHI FLOWER

In Episode 4 of my KANZASHI FLOWER series, I'm sharing a complete step-by-step tutorial for a wonderful Kanzashi ribbon flower hair clip. It looks absolutely beautiful on girls with long hair. Let's craft together! *TOOLS: We need to use as list below Scissors, Ruler, Tweezers, Lighter, Hot glue gun with glue stick. MATERIALS: We need to use as list below Ribbon in width 5 cm & width 4 cm Circular felt, Artificial stamens, Rhinestone, Hair clip base Note on Materials: In this video: • I used grosgrain ribbon for both layers. • Alternatives: You can use silk ribbon for both layers, or mix grosgrain and silk together (one for the inside, one for the outside). STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTION: Step 1: Prepare the petals 1.1. Cut ribbon into square shape Ribbon 5 cm: 5 pcs Ribbon 4 cm: 10 pcs 1.2. Use lighter to gently burn the cut-edge to prevent ribbon fraying. Step 2: Create the petal shape (I) Round petal with double layers of 2 different color for flower 1. Fold the ribbon squares diagonally into triangles, then stack them with the smaller triangle on top. 2. First, fold the two acute angles of the small triangle down to the bottom midpoint. Repeat this for the large triangle. 3. Fold the piece backward in half to form the petal 4. Trim the back end of the petal, hold it tightly with tweezers, and heat-seal the edge 5. Trim the bottom tip and sear it with a lighter to lock the petal shape. (II) Pointed petals for outside of flower 1. Fold the square diagonally into triangle 2. Fold in half again then we have smaller triangle 3. Bring the two edges together and adjust them to form a pointed petal. 4. Trim the excess ribbon at the end of the petal, then hold it tightly with tweezers and heat-seal the cut-edge 5. Trim the bottom tip and sear it with the lighter to hold the petal shape Step 3: Assemble the flower 3.1. Use a hot glue gun to attach 5 pcs of double-layer round petals together to form a 5-petals flower. 3.2. Put artificial onto the center of flower and put some hot glue to keep it firmly. 3.3. Glue the flower onto the circular felt. Step 4: Finish touches 4.1. Glue 2 pointed petals together. Repeat 1 more time to make 2 pairs in total. 4.2. Use hot glue gun to attach flower onto one side of hair clip base. 4.3. Use hot glue to attach 5 pointed petals onto hair clip base, outside of the flower. 4.4.
