In this video, Marco from Mac Flies ties up his Critter Crab pattern. This is a killer crab pattern for redfish, bonefish, and permit. The Critter Crab can be adapted to many sizes and colors, and used for many species. This size 4 in the blue crab color is great for the Tampa Bay Area redfish. Lighten up the color and tie a size 6 for Permit. Or, size up to a 2 and brighten up the colors for Texas or Louisiana redfish. The legs, eyes, and claws give this fly tons of action, even when sitting still or barely crawling it.
