This is a video of trains arriving and departing one after another at JR Kobe Line (Tokaido Main Line) Sannomiya Station (holidays and daytime hours from 2pm to 4pm). The video shows special rapid service, rapid service, local trains (stopping at every station), the Super Hakuto express train, and Hankyu trains running parallel to the station. The Hankyu Kobe Line runs parallel to the station (in front of the platform heading towards Osaka), so from the JR platform you can see Hankyu trains entering and leaving Hankyu Kobe-Sannomiya Station, and Sanyo Electric Railway running to Hankyu Kobe-Sannomiya Station on the Kobe Kosoku Line. (The Sanyo Electric Railway stops on the Hankyu Kobe Line tracks in front of the JR Sannomiya Station platform to turn around.) This is a video of JR Sannomiya Station, but it also shows the Hankyu and Sanyo trains running next to the station. JR Sannomiya Station has two island platforms with four tracks. Platforms 1 and 2 are for the Osaka direction, and platforms 3 and 4 are for the Kobe direction. Rapid and local trains use the inner platforms 2 and 3, while special rapid and limited express trains and freight trains use the outer platforms 1 and 4. Rope-operated platform doors are installed on all platforms, and the ropes go up and down every time a train arrives. The video shows one "Super Hakuto" limited express train bound for Osaka and one bound for Tottori. The "Super Hakuto" bound for Osaka is the "Detective Conan" train.
