Built as part of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall, this strongpoint formed part of the defenses of Festung Boulogne, with four huge Regelbau 671 casemates, heavy artillery, and support bunkers designed to stop an Allied landing. Today, many of these bunkers lie abandoned on private farmland, slowly being reclaimed by nature. But their concrete shells still remain — silent reminders of the scale of Germany’s coastal fortifications in WW2.
